Measure before you buy
These bolts suit mounting holes between 14 and 20 mm across. Take the old bolt out and measure the hole in the porcelain with a ruler.
- Remove the old seat bolt.
- Measure straight across the hole in the bowl, in millimeters.
- Check the hole is a top-access hole (you can't reach underneath to fit a nut).
How it holds
Tighten the screw from above and the anchor's serrated wing opens under the bowl, pulling the hinge down tight against the porcelain.
Installation
You'll need a Phillips screwdriver.
- Remove
Unscrew the old bolts and lift the seat off.
- Position
Line the hinges up over the holes and push a bolt through each hinge into the bowl.
- Tighten
Turn each screw clockwise until the seat is firm. Stop once it holds.
- Check
Rock the seat side to side. Give a final quarter turn if it moves.

When these won't work
Too small and the anchor won't go in. Too large and the wing can't grip.
The anchor needs sound porcelain around the hole to clamp against.
Tighten until firm and stop. Forcing it can split the gasket or stress the bowl.
Questions
Will these fit my toilet?
They fit top-access mounting holes from 14 to 20 mm. Measure your hole first; the size check above will tell you.
What tools do I need?
A Phillips screwdriver.
How tight should I go?
Until the seat stops moving, then stop. A final quarter turn is usually enough if it creeps.
How many toilets does one pack fix?
Two. Each seat uses two bolts, and the pack has four.
