Two winters with heated grips on my Road King. Palms roasting, backs of my hands like ice blocks. Grips only heat the side touching the bar, and the wind hits the other side. These heat the palm and the back of the hand, so I’m not death-gripping the bar just to feel warm. Should’ve bought them two winters ago.

Overview
Your bike doesn't hibernate.
Most riders park it when the temperature drops, because cold hands end the ride before the road does.
ThermoTouch heats both sides of each hand, the palm and the back, from a battery inside the glove. Charge them, pull them on, press the button.
One button with a digital display sets the heat, up to 130°F on the top setting.

The battery
The power is in the glove.
A lot of cheap "heated" gloves are just a USB cable. They only warm up while they're plugged into a power bank in your pocket. ThermoTouch carries its own 3000 mAh battery.

On the bike
Made for the cold miles.
- Heat on the back of the hand. That's the side that takes the wind. Heated grips only warm your palms.
- Touchscreen thumb and index. Check the map at a red light without pulling a glove off.
- Non-slip grip palm. A textured panel for a steady hold on the bars.
- Zip cuff and wrist strap. The hook-and-loop strap closes the gap at your jacket sleeve.
- Works on any bike. Nothing to wire, nothing to install.

Grips can’t keep up at 70mph
On long highway days in the 40s, my grips couldn’t keep up. The inside of my hands was toasty and the outside was numb. Even behind a fairing, the wind at 70 blasts your knuckles. These put heat on top of my hand, which is where the cold actually is. I can work the GPS on my phone at a gas stop without pulling them off. This was the first trip this fall where I wasn’t counting miles to the next stop just to thaw out.
No more roasting my palms
The heated grips on my Fat Bob only had two modes. Crank them up for the wind and my palms cooked. Turn them down and the backs of my hands froze. These heat both sides, so I don’t have to pick which half of my hand suffers. The grips stay off now.
Cheaper than grips on one bike, works on both
I was going to put heated grips on both bikes. The shop quoted $200 plus 4 hours labor, per bike, for something I need maybe four months a year. These were under $40, charge off USB and go on whichever bike I’m riding. No splicing into the wiring, and no dead battery because I forgot the grips were on. And they warm the top of my hand, which grips never could.
At 64, the grips stopped cutting it
I’m out the door at 5:30 most mornings, and it’s in the low 30s this time of year. When I was younger, heated grips were enough. At 64 they’re not. My palms stayed warm, but the backs of my hands were numb by the first stop light. These heat the palm and the back of the hand, so I’m warm front and back, not just where I’m touching the bar. I was about to park the bike till spring. I’m still riding.
